Twitter Hacker Leaked Documents about Twitters Future Development.

One of Twitters key employee’s apparently lost sensitive data after a hacker accessed the employees email account. The data included details and notes about Twitters ongoing development plans and their future with Google, Yahoo and MSN.
According to TechCrunch, which received a copy of the data by a hacker, Twitter initial revenue in the third quarter of this year would be $400,000, followed by nearly $4 million in the fourth quarter and $140 million by the end of next year.
By the end of 2013, Twitter estimate that they will have signed up 1 billion users, acheive $1.54 billion in revenue, employ 5,200 people and make $111 million in net earnings, in a document, dated February 2009.
Biz Stone, the company’s co-founder, said in the official Twitter blog. “These docs are not polished or ready for prime time and they’re certainly not revealing some big, secret plan for taking over the world.”
Twitter use Google Docs to store and hold all of their data, this has led to speculation about the security of cloud hosted solutions. We think it’s important to point out that the Twitter Employees Email account was hacked through their email password and not by any security exploit of Google Docs. You have to wonder whether something as simple as good password security could have prevented this from happening. It has also been claimed that the employees wife’s email account was also hacked.
